Hermanas Butiko is a new Greek fashion brand creating handcrafted, locally produced apparel, run by two sisters, Maria and Katerina. The visual identity we created for them on the one hand relies on the concept of duality and on the other on that of a rugged, alternative elegance, in order to convey both the personal nature of the brand and the distinct vibe that characterises their products. Based on their primary production method by which they process denim jackets by adding a variety of decorative articles onto it, we designed a symbol that consists of geometric shapes directly inspired from these elements, together forming a couple of human figures. The chosen typography that complements the identity is sans serif, with clean-cut lines and capital letters, balancing the mark’s dynamic attitude with a sense of bold elegance.
